The price-demand relationship in QLD today is showing clear elastic sensitivity above the 6,000 MW mark. This morning peak in forecast pricing is sharper than yesterday's actual outturn, suggesting tighter reserve margins or lower renewable contribution expected — current renewable penetration sits at 20.79% with wind contributing 890 MW, but solar is negligible at 0.16 MW given 100% cloud cover this morning.
