gridIQ pulls live data from the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) via their NEMWEB platform. We cover all five National Electricity Market (NEM) regions: NSW, VIC, SA, QLD and TAS, plus the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) in Western Australia.
NEM dispatch prices update every 5 minutes. WEM prices update every 30 minutes. Generation mix, carbon intensity, FCAS markets, interconnector flows and constraint data update on their respective schedules. Weather forecast data is sourced from Open-Meteo.
AEMO is the independent system operator and market operator for Australia's major electricity and gas systems. gridIQ is not affiliated with AEMO.
